How to Configure ICQ Sounds and Alerts |
|
You can change the sound of general ICQ incoming events and the sound of specific ICQ user incoming events.
You can download or record voice files and save them on your computer, then configure them to alert
you to incoming events:
- Download or record a voice file.
- Save it to a directory on your computer.
Now you have the following options:
- Configure sounds for incoming events.
and/or
- Configure sounds for users events.
You have a collection of default sound effects that you get with ICQ, but you can change them
to sounds you record or download from elsewhere.
You can download sound files from our ICQ Sound Schemes site. Or look in
various search engines using the keywords:
themes and sound files for example in Yahoo.
|
NOTE:
It is always good practice not to accept or download files from anybody you don't know,
and to use the most recent anti-virus programs when downloading files.
