New Home...New Town

Opened on : Jun 11th, 2009 27 raters 1887 views I'm just not sure how I feel about this old farmhouse. I don't feel comfortable here. There are noises. Strange muffled voices and shadows I keep experiencing, especially at night.

All quiet until....

Jul 29th 2009, 01:10 AM 2 raters

Nothing at all has been happening. No noises at night, no shadows, nothing out of the ordinary. I've had friends over and we've enjoyed watching movies, eating meals and just sitting and talking with absolutely no interruptions.

Tonight I returned home from an evening of going to the movies then eating out. As I entered the kitchen, Gizmo was whimpering in the living room. I found him sitting in the corner. I called him and he came limping over to me. He was favoring his right front paw. There was no blood. Feeling his leg, the bones seemed alright but his paw was sensitive to the touch. Carrying Gizzy, I went from room to room. In the spare bedroom a large Native American statue that I kept on top of my large bookcase lay smashed on the floor. The bookcase was extremely sturdy and heavy which is why I had placed that particular statue on top of it. Now it lay in pieces on the floor. Gizmo could not have reached the top of the bookshelf and the very top of the shelf has a lip around it, so that the statue would have to be lifted in order to be tossed to the floor.

I cleaned up the pieces and closed the door and went to my bedroom. As I entered the room, my bedspread was on the floor and all of my bureau drawers were slightly open and some of the clothes in each one were pulled slightly out. Even the sliding closet door was slightly open with some clothing sticking out.

I don't understand the point of all this. What is it they want from me? Why does it hide for days and weeks only to come back and do something that makes no sense whatsoever? If it wants to communicate and finish something it started, I just can't understand the purpose of all these stupid stunts. I'm tired of all this.

Seance

Jul 17th 2009, 07:50 PM 1 raters

Thursday night Deb, Jen, Heather, Jade and I gathered in my living room around midnight. We had gone out for supper then had a few drinks before returning for the seance. We set up a table in the living room. Deb brought a ouiji board and Heather lit candles around the room. We sat around the table and all placed our finger tips on the pointer of the board. We began asking questions.

"Is there anybody here?"

"If there is a spirit here can you make your presence known."

"Please move the pointer to the letters to form words and speak with us."

We continued asking questions for 15 minutes with no response. Jade suddenly said she felt really cold.

Deb asked if anyone was here. Immediately the board moved...not the pointer but the board itself slid several inches across the table. Jade screamed, Heather jumped then laughed nervously as my heart began to pound in my chest.

We relaxed once again and began asking it more questions. The pointer began to move and it slowly spelled out L-E-A-V-E.
We asked for a name and it spelled out N-O-W.

Deb called out, "Look" and pointed towards the bookcase. The flame from the candle on the bookcase was rising above the wick. It was about 4 inches above the wick before it extinguished.

Jade was shaking and decided she wanted to leave. When she was getting ready to go the others decided to go home also. They said they'd come back and do it some other time. They want me to bless the house before they return again.

After everyone left the house remained silent until I turned off the lights to go to bed. Just then I heard a child giggle from the hallway. Nothing else happened. I fell asleep.

Shadow in the night

Jul 9th 2009, 10:32 PM 2 raters

In the middle of the night last night, I was awakened when Gizmo made a slight chuffing noise, jumped off the bed then went down the stairs. I was extremely tired and rolled over ready to fall back to sleep. I felt something move at the foot of the bed.

"Gizzy, come on. Come to bed puppy."

I looked up and saw the shadow figure leaning down at the foot of the bed. It's arms appeared to be pressing down the end of the mattress and it appeared to be staring at me.

I tried to speak to it, but I couldn't move anything, not even my mouth would open.

The shadow then slowly stood up straight then slowly, silently walked through the wall.

As soon as it left the room, I began to tremble. Gizmo came back upstairs within a few minutes and jumped into bed, snuggling next to me. I held him tightly and covered up, laying still, listening for the shadow to return before falling asleep from exhaustion.

I spoke with my friend, Deb today and she suggests we hold some sort of seance but I'm not so sure that would be a good idea.

Shadow

Jul 7th 2009, 10:13 PM 0 raters

I haven't posted anything lately because not much has been happening. Alot of same ole, same ole, such as things go missing and then miraculously reappear in the same place or elsewhere...(like my mail disappearing 3 days ago from the table and then found later on in the cupboard..), footsteps and movements at night, distant voices (mostly young, but also a male and female adult). I'm still not comfortable here and my nights are spent with many sleepless hours but for the most part I'm not terrified except for what happened last night. Gizmo and I had just reentered the kitchen from our nightly walk before bedtime. As I locked up the kitchen door, a child's laughter could be heard from way down the hall. Gizmo gave a small "ruff" then headed down the hallway. As I passed the living room I reached in, turned off the light, and a dark figure appeared at the far end of the room. It quickly raced in front of me.  It's featureless face was just inches from mine. Just as Gizmo barked from behind me the shadow completely vanished as if it were never there to begin with.  Gizmo and I both ran to the bedroom and we crawled under the sheets and I lay there too afraid to look around in case my visitor had returned. Whatever that "thing" was, I didn't like it and I had the feeling "it" didn't like me.

Late Night Visitor

Jun 29th 2009, 02:17 AM 3 raters

Gizmo and I were sitting in the living room watching tv around midnight. It was windy and raining out, a miserable evening outside. We suddenly heard a loud noise from the kitchen. Gizmo began to bark and jumped off the couch. I followed him into the kitchen. After turning on the light we both stopped abruptly when we discovered the kitchen door wide open.  Gizmo just growled softly. There in the doorway appeared to be a silhouette of an arm turning towards the inside of the kitchen. I wasn't sure if a burglar was standing off to the side of the door or if it was just some shadow created by something outside. Just as the hand nearly reached inside, the door slammed shut. I'm not usually a jumpy person but this made me jump. My heart was pounding hard as I quickly went forward and locked the door. I slowly backed away keeping my eye on the door. Gizmo and I stood in the kitchen for several minutes until we felt it was safe enough to return to the living room. I'm not sure what that was all about but that scared me worse than anything else that has happened so far.
