I don't know what gets me through the night, since I've not had you to keep me warm for so long. I have had to create my own place of comfort and solace within my heart.
A place of empathy and love sharing where I sometimes go and take refuge from the storm, sitting with my sordid memories and reflecting upon what might have been and those things that I've seen.
All to nothing, they fade into insignificance when I stand where the ocean meets the shore and I think of you.
Or sit high upon mountain side, looking down into valley below. I hear your voice and words, echoing on the wind, “and I still Love you too“, I whisper in response then shed a tear.
I don't know what gets me through the day, because my thoughts are filled with notions and my gut is full of potions for the emotions which are lay within me.
A place of unity and cooperation, where I hold out my hand in peace and assistance for the weary, offering the hand of friendship, that I have never known.
And still they come, the waves of self indulgence washing over my feet, my footprints in the sand of time just leaving imprints to be followed, then I dream of you.
I am lifted by the thoughts of you, your vibrancy and life energy awakens my lowly spirit.
I don’t know what gets me through the year, without you near, standing beside me guiding me through straight and narrow, carrying cupids golden arrow within my heart.
To a place where no words need be spoken or measures given by the token, to one who comes begging for assistance from afar.
All for nothing and meaningless, hopelessly my resistance is low, yet still I know only confusions or imaginations of the real you.
What can I do to change this, hold you close in warm embrace or passionate kiss. Disrupt the remnants of the bands that exist.
I am smitten by my dreams for you, your beauty and elegance, your sweetness and light and I am now basking in your brilliance once more.
