The name of your medicine is Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
. It is available as powder in a bottle for preparation of a lemon flavoured syrup. When prepared by the pharmacist, each 125mg/5ml bottle contains either 60ml or 100ml
of suspension. When prepared by the pharmacist, the 250mg/5ml bottle contains 100ml of suspension. Each 5ml spoonful of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
contains either 125mg or 250mg of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
as Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
trihydrate.
Each bottle also contains sodium benzoate Ph.Eur. (E211), disodium edetate Ph.Eur., sodium citrate anhydrous, lemon flavour powder, quinoline yellow (E104) and sucrose Ph.Eur.
The active ingredient in this medicine is Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
. This is the new name for amoxycillin. The ingredient itself has not changed.
Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
is stable in the presence of gastric acid and is rapidly absorbed after oral administration. The effect of food on the absorption of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
from the tablets and
suspension of AMOXIL has been partially investigated. The 400-mg and 875-mg formulations have been studied only when administered at the start of a light meal.
However, food effect studies have not been performed with the 200-mg and 500-mg formulations. Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
diffuses readily into most body tissues and fluids, with the
exception of brain and spinal fluid, except when meninges are inflamed. The half-life of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
is 61.3 minutes. Most of the Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
is excreted unchanged in the urine;
its excretion can be delayed by concurrent administration of probenecid. In blood serum, Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
is approximately 20% protein-bound. Orally administered doses of 250-mg and 500-mg Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
capsules result in
average peak blood levels 1 to 2 hours after administration in the range of 3.5 mcg/mL to 5.0 mcg/mL and 5.5 mcg/mL to 7.5 mcg/mL, respectively. Mean Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
pharmacokinetic parameters from an open, two-part, single-dose
crossover bioequivalence study in 27 adults comparing 875 mg of AMOXIL with 875 mg of AUGMENTIN ® (Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
/clavulanate potassium) showed that the 875-mg tablet of
AMOXIL produces an AUC 0-? of 35.4 ± 8.1 mcg•hr/mL and a C max of 13.8 ± 4.1 mcg/mL. Dosing was at the start of a light meal following an overnight fast.
Orally administered doses of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
suspension, 125 mg/5 mL and 250 mg/5 mL, result in average peak blood levels 1 to 2 hours after administration in the range of
1.5 mcg/mL to 3.0 mcg/mL and 3.5 mcg/mL to 5.0 mcg/mL, respectively. Oral administration of single doses of 400-mg chewable tablets and 400 mg/5 mL suspension of AMOXIL to 24 adult volunteers yielded comparable pharmacokinetic data:
Microbiology: Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
is similar to ampicillin in its bactericidal action against susceptible organisms during the stage of active multiplication. It acts through the
inhibition of biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptide. Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
has been shown to be active against most strains of the following microorganisms, both in vitro and in clinical
infections as described in the INDICATIONS AND USAGE section. Ampicillin is sometimes used to predict susceptibility of S. pneumoniae to Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
; however, some intermediate
strains have been shown to be susceptible to Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
. Therefore, S. pneumoniae susceptibility should be tested using Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
powder. The MIC values should be
interpreted according to the following criteria All patients with gonorrhea should have a serologic test for syphilis at the time of diagnosis. Patients treated with Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
should have a follow-up serologic test for
syphilis after 3 months. Drug Interactions: Probenecid decreases the renal tubular secretion of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
. Concurrent use of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
and probenecid may result in increased and prolonged
blood levels of Oral Amoxicillin And Syphilis
