Having difficulties signing in?


We put a lot of effort and technical work to improve our users’ instant messaging experience. Following scheduled maintenance performed during the last two weeks, the client log in system may have been experiencing some temporary problems. Please try signing in again later.
You can also try to sign in to your account using Web-ICQ. Just go to the Web-ICQ Launch page (http://www.icq.com/download/webicq/), click on “Launch Web-ICQ” and enter your ICQ identification number and password.
 

Security and Password


In order to keep your ICQ account safe, ICQ recommends some safety tips to follow: 1. Choose a password that contains a combination of upper case letters, lower case letters and numbers. 2. Validate your email after completing your registration to ICQ, so you can reset your password easily and quickly if needed. If you don't receive the validation email, check your "spam" or "junk" mailbox. Once you receive the validation email, click on the link inside to complete the email validation process.
 

Password retrieval


If you've lost access to your account, you should try to retrieve the password through the password retrieval system. Just go to https://www.icq.com/password/ and set a new password carefully following the instructions.
 

And what if I want to delete my account?


ICQ is now working on providing a delete feature which will be available in upcoming ICQ versions. Currently, there’s no such functionality. Instead, you can simply remove all content (profile and contacts) except for your email address, which needs to be attached.
  • To remove all your profile contents, just go to "Menu" -> "My profile" -> "Edit profile" and remove all undesired information.
  • To remove all users on your contact list groups, click on the group’s name-> “delete”.
