Managing your Block and invisible lists
Did you block a person and now regret it? How can you view your invisible list? To view and manage your Block and Invisible lists, go to "Menu" -> "Settings" -> "Privacy" -> “Manage Block and Invisible Lists” and browse through both lists.
Anti-Spam & Spam control
In order to keep your ICQ account spam-free, ICQ recommends using the Spam control filter. This tool enables you to filter out spam messages, be alerted before receiving messages from people who are not on your contact list or have all incoming messages’ hyperlinks automatically disabled. To manage the Spam Control Filter, just go to “Menu” -> “Settings” -> “Privacy” -> “Spam control”.
Message Window
ICQ 7.7 lets you chat in a tabbed message window by default. Should you like to use separate chat windows, simply right click on the contact name and choose "open in separate window", or you can simply drag the tab out of the message window and the contact will be displayed separately.
Voice chat
If you’re experiencing difficulties hearing your chat partner, go to your volume control panel on your operating system and make sure your volume is not muted. In the next version of ICQ, you’ll have a direct sync between your ICQ Voice chat and your operating system.
