Add contacts     


In the upcoming ICQ for iPhone version, you will find an “add contact” feature with an enhanced contact search engine. In order to add more friends using the current version, you can use the “add contact search” button on the ICQ desktop client. Just go to ICQ 7.7 -> “menu” -> “add contact”, or just press “F5”. 


How can I change and/or retrieve my password?


You can change or retrieve your password using the password retrieval system. Just go to www.icq.comand click on “support” (top navigation bar) -> “change password”. You can also click here: https://www.icq.com/login/en?dest=%252Fchange-password%252Fen.
 

How can I send feedback to ICQ?


We want to know what you think. In order to send us feedback directly from your mobile, go to “my profile” ->”Settings” -> “Send Feedback”, and let us know what you think.
 

iPhone


Push-notifications and multi-tasking


In past versions, ICQ disconnected when switching applications on the iPhone. In the latest ICQ for iPhone version (2.6 and up), ICQ added push-notifications support. Now you can easily go to any application you choose and ICQ will let you know if you received a new notification.

 

Languages


In order to change the language on ICQ for mobile, you need to change your mobile phone’s language settings. Go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “international” -> “Language”, and choose your language. 

iOS 3 for iPhone – Send button functionality 


Q. Unable to send messages that are longer than one line , because the send button moves to the right
A. Our iPhone App supports iOS 4 and above. We will investigate the situation for our iOS3 users and will update shortly on a proposed solution.

My battery is getting empty very fast

A. We have recently introduced a new ‘push notification’ mechanism, which improves ICQ’s power consumption significantly. We are constantly working on improving our battery and network consumption.

Not receiving activation code with SMS


Q. At this point several operators can't support our service (click here to full list)
A. We are working on fixing some issues to ensure the code SMS arrive all of our users. However, if you experience such problems, you can register to ICQ eith your email.

Chinese Language Support 


Q. Android3.01 and iPhone 3.01 don't supports Chinese Language
A. Our next version 3.02 for android and iPhone (ETA Dec. 2012) will have Traditional and Simplified Chinese support

Removing Phone Contacts 


Q. You wish to delete your phone contacts from your account (after phone book synchronization)  
A. Our next version 3.02 (android) and 3.03 (iPhone) both expected to be available in December, will allow you to hide phone contacts 

Change Nickname 


Q. Android3.01 and iPhone 3.01 don't allow users to change they Profile name / Nickname
A. We are working on a solution for this problem from your mobile phone. In the meantime, you can go to: http://www.icq.com/people/and choose ‘my profile’, then press ‘edit’. 


Sound Settings cannot be saved


Q. After logging out, you need to adjust the sound settings again
A. Our next version 3.02 that will be released during December 2012 will have a solution for this issue.

I am receiving a lot of messages from people I don’t know.


Q. At this moment you can receive messages from people that are not in your list. 
A. We are working on a general solution that will block spammers. Help us improve by reporting and blocking these users.
