Note: Supported Dialers
ICQ works with most 16-bit dialers. However, since there is a wide
variety of dialers, there may still be dialers that are not supported
by ICQ.
These dialers are supported by ICQ:
• Trumpet
•IBM
•AOL
•Compuserve
•Quarterdeck
These dialers are currently not supported by ICQ:
•Netmanage
If the dialer your are using does not appear on this list, or if you don't know which dialer you are using,
you may wish to download ICQ and try for yourself to see if it will connect to our server.
We would appreciate if after such an attempt you would contact our
Technical Support
and let us know whether or not you were able to connect and register to ICQ.

Win32S Extension
ICQ for Windows 3.x requires a common extension to Windows called Win32S.
This system extension allows 32-bit applications like ICQ to run under 16-bit Windows 3.x.
You must have this extension on your PC before you install ICQ.
If you have Win32S installed, read on in order to install ICQ.

Run The Installation Program
- Keep your dialer running and stay connected to the Internet.
- Shut down all other applications.
- Run Windows File-Manager.
- Open the directory where you saved the ICQ installation file (icq311.exe).
- Double-click on it to start the installation process.
Note: Installation Problems
If you failed to shut down some application before starting the installation process,
you may encounter an Application Error during or at the end of the installation process. No harm is done,
In most cases you will be able to continue to the registration process - try to continue.
If you can't register after this error occurs, restart the installation process.
If you still can't register - download the file again.

Follow The Registration Instructions
Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
Follow the registration instructions which will start right after the installation process,
this will register you as an ICQ user on the ICQ servers.
