So what is ICQ Fight all about?
It´s a fun way to answer the question that has been bothering since 1st grade - we all know you're popular, but is there anyone more popular than you?

Why fight?
To know how well connected you are in the ICQ network and obviously, winning is always fun!

Who wins?
Your score is the sum of the current number of people online who have you in their Contact List, out to three degrees. This means the score is constantly changing, and the winner of the battle may constantly change.

Say WHAT?! Or how does it work?
It's the wonders of geeks, mathematics and too much free time. Our computers use a complicated algorithm, so ICQ Fight can calculate how popular you are.Score is the sum of the current number of people online who have you in their Contact List, out to three degrees. It sounds a little complicated. But it's not that bad. Here's a diagram that makes it much clearer.

The fact that this friend has you in his Contact List contributes very little to your score, since he doesn't have as large a network as your other Contact List friends.
Remember you can't increase your score by adding friends to you Contact List. You can only increase your score by other people adding you to their Contact Lists.Creating a new ICQ number and adding someone to your Contact List doesn't really help your score since what matters is how many people add that ICQ number. The score includes friends up to three degrees away. It is all about how connected a person is in the ICQ network.
The largest boost to your score comes from the fact that this friend added you to his Contact List since he has many friends who have him in their Contact List.

How can I increase my score?
Well, creating a new ICQ number and adding someone to your Contact List doesn't really help your score since what matters is how many people add that ICQ number. You need to get people to add you to their Contact List, and have more people add those people to their Contact List, and have even more people add those people to their Contact List. Your own Contact List doesn't matter in the score.

What does the actual score mean?
The higher your number, the more online third-degree connections you have. Your score isn't an exact number of your third-degree connections. Rather, it shows how many connections you have relative to other ICQ users.
