Your Status lets others know how available you are for chatting and the other way round. Each friend's status appears next to his/her name on your contact list to indicate if he/she is available or not. When you change your status, the icon near your name on your friend's contact list changes too. You can also add a message that will be displayed in your friend's message window. For example, if you are not next to your computer and cannot answer messages sent to you, choose the N/A (Not Available) status. To change your status, click the status menu on the top of your contact list and choose a status.
