Double-click the friend you want to send a message to, or right click on his/her name on your contact list and choose Start > Message. The message window opens.
Type your message.
Tip! You can choose to send your message via ICQ or as an SMS message by selecting one of the options at the top of the message window.
Click the Send button to send the message.
Remember: Messages sent to a friend who is offline are limited to 450 characters. If you type more than 450 characters and try to send the message, you will be asked to shorten it down.
