Follow these steps:
1. Click
Main and choose
Options. In the
Options window click
Privacy from the
Privacy & Security list on the left.
2. In the right pane select any of the options:
- Accept Messages only from users on my Contact List. Checking this option will make ICQ ignore all messages from people who are not on your list.
- Ask me before displaying messages from people I don't know. Display the 'Accept Messages' dialog when receiving messages from users not on in the Contact List
- Enable ICQ Anti-Spam to filter out spam messages. Apply Anti-Spam filter when receiving messages from users not on the Contact List
Checking these options will cut down on the amount of spam you get.
