Ops are channel operators (the users with the "@" next to their nickname).
They can be either users or bots whose job is to watch the channel they are in, making sure no one is breaking the channel's rules (which can be "no swearing", “no flooding" or whatever they want them to be). Ops can keep the order in the channel by kicking users out, setting user modes and setting channel modes.
Whenever you have a problem concerning a specific channel you should talk to the channel's op about it.
