Make sure no one has registered yet the channel you want. First go to Status window (the top left button with the ICQ flower symbol). Then you can simply type in the command line /ChanServ info <#channel> (where <#channel> stands for the channel you want to check whether it's registered or not).
If the channel isn't registered yet you should type /ChanServ register
<#channel> (where <#channel> is the channel name you want to register, is the password you want to set to protect this channel and is a brief channel description you must include).
That's it. This channel should now be registered under your name. Make sure you don't forget its password.
