Can I choose not to display the Tray Notifications when I get messages (in ICQ 6.5)?

Yes, you can.
Follow these steps:

From the Main menu choose Options.
In the Options window, click the General option by choosing the Customization tab which can be found in the left pane.
In the Status Options area check the Block tray notifications and auto reject invitations when occupied option which can be found in the right pane.
Click OK.
