ICQ offers various features that may help reduce your exposure to potential spam and harassment.
If a user is sending you spam or is otherwise bothering you, you may add him to your ignore list. By adding a user to your ignore list instant messages sent by that user will be blocked from reaching you. To learn how to add a user to your ignore list,
In addition, you may choose to set your settings to accept messages only from users on your Contact List. To learn how,
You may also choose to report a message from someone who is not in your Contact List, as Spam. To learn how,

If the harassment persists we strongly advise you to contact your local law enforcement authorities. In addition to contacting your local law enforcement authorities, you may wish to report any such incidents to
abuse@icq.com. Please note that you will not receive a response or indication of action from ICQ.
Remember: ICQ will never ask you to submit your password
by email. Should you receive any email appearing to be from ICQ that asks

do not respond to such an email.
