Yes, you can use the QuickIM feature to send a message directly from your contact list.
- Click the name of the friend to whom you want to send a message and display the Quick Access buttons.
- Click the QuickIM button. In the textbox that appears below your friend's name type your message and click the right pointing arrow to send.
You can also reply to a message directly in the message toaster, by typing your message in the textbox at the bottom of the toaster.
