Double-click the friend you want to send a message to, or right-click on his/her name in your contact list and select Start > IM or SMS. The message window open.
Tip! You can choose to send your message via ICQ or as an SMS message by selecting the relevant icon at the bottom of the message window.
Type your message, and press enter on your keyboard to send the message

Remember: Messages sent to a friend who is offline are limited to 450 characters. If you type more than 450 characters and try to send the message, you will be asked to shorten it down.
