How do I control who can see my ICQ Contacts in my user profile?
You can control who can see your ICQ contacts in your user profile through the Privacy options, in the Advanced list in the Settings window.



Default privacy options are assigned automatically when you register for ICQ 7.

The default options are as follows:

For existing users, that is, those that have upgraded from ICQ 6.5 to ICQ 7, the default privacy option is No-one . This can be changed to any of the options.

For new users of ICQ 7, the default options are:

  • Below the age of 16 - No one. This can be changed to Only my Contacts.


  • Between the age of 16-18 - Only my Contacts. This can be changed to any of the options.


  • Above the age of 18 - Everybody. This can be changed to any of the options.


  • Follow these steps to control who can see your ICQ Contacts:

    1. From Menu, select My tools > Settings.

    2. In the Settings window, select Privacy from the Advanced list on the left.

    3. In the Who can view my friends? section, select the required privacy options.

    4. Click OK to save the changes.
