Different modes to use ICQ
ICQ Pro provides two modes for your use, Public (Various Users) and Private (Only Myself).
Public mode is for ICQ on computers that are used by many people, for example, in Internet cafes.
Private mode is for ICQ on computers that are typically used by only a few users.
When you register ICQ for the first time, you have the option of choosing your usage mode. However, changing the mode requires that
you reinstall ICQ.

| Public Mode |
Features of Public mode:
- Passwords and message histories are not saved.
- The ICQ session will expire when the computer has been idle for more than 15 minutes. Reactivating ICQ will require a new login.
- To change modes from Public to Private, ICQ must be reinstalled.

| Private Mode |
Features of Private mode: 
- Passwords and message histories are saved by default. However, when you log on as a guest, passwords and message history will not be saved.
Note: If you wish, it is possible to save your message history manually. There is no limit to the number of users that can log in as guests.
- If you wish, it is possible to login automatically.
- All ICQ sessions using ICQ will remain connected as long as there is an Internet connection (or until you log off).
- To change modes from Private to Public, ICQ must be reinstalled.
