Status Options
When using Simple Mode, you can choose to be in Online, Offline or Away status modes.
That is, you can either connect to the ICQ servers, disconnect from them, or project to others that you are currently away from your computer.
You can set the mode by clicking on the status icon at the bottom of the ICQ window. The values shown in the drop-down list
are as follows:
- Available/Connect - ICQ attempts to make you Online.
- Away - ICQ places you in Away mode.
- Offline/Disconnect - ICQ places you in Offline mode.
The System Notice
Right-clicking the System Notice text at the bottom of the ICQ window opens the following options:
- History and OutBox - History of events you have sent and received.
- Incoming Files Folder - View the contents of the folder where users can send you files.
- Incoming Bookmarks - The Incoming URLs that you have saved as bookmarks from ICQ are stored here.
This option opens up your browser and allows you to view all of your incoming URLs.
The Web Search
The ICQ Web Search makes searching the Web quick and easy.
The Web Search is located at the top of the ICQ Window.
Enter a search query, click GO!, and your search results will be displayed.
