User to User Connection |
- Open the ICQ Menu and select Preferences.
- Select the Connection feature.
- Click on the User tab.
- By default the Use sever proxy settings (recommended) is set.
Advanced Users
This feature may be configured either for users not using a proxy or for users using a proxy.

Not Using a Proxy |
- Click on the radio button Not using a proxy. Incoming ports are needed only for communication with users that are behind a firewall.
- Use dynamically allocated port numbers (default).
- Clicks on radio button Use the following TCP listen port for incoming event. Insert the port numbers From to To for the port to set your port range.

Using a Proxy |
- Click on the radio button Using Proxy and select your type of proxy.
- Click on the Apply button to confirm your settings.
