Cellcom and ICQ present a new service, for the first time in Israel, even when you are not in front of a computer, the members of your ICQ community and their availability is with you.

Cellcom customers who are ICQ subscribers, will see members of their ICQ community and their availability even when they are not at home in front of the computer - via the cellular phone.

For the first time in Israel: Cellcom customers can connect to the ICQ contact list via their cellular phone, see their availability to receive instant messages, and receive notification on their Cellcom screen, whenever someone from their ICQ community becomes available (Online).

Also, every ICQ subscriber in the world could send SMS messaged from the desktop to any SMS enabled phone on Cellcom's network, and a cellcom subscriber could reply to the desktop message by sending an SMS message from the phone to the desktop

In addition, a Cellcom customer could write and send an original message from his Cellcom to an ICQ subscriber's desktop, even if the Cellcom Customer is not an ICQ subscriber

The ICQ Service, with over 135 million users world-wide, allows the user to manage a contact list, organize it into groups, meet new people, and know at any given time, which one of his friends is available to receive and instant message. The ICQ Service also provide the customer with the benefits that are part of the Cellcom values system, among them belonging to a community and improving communications with the community that the customer belongs to.

A Cellcom customer could define up to 30 names from his ICQ community contact list, on the phone, and would be able to know when each and every one of the friends on the list is available to receive an ICQ message from the desktop or cellular phone. Sending and receiving message from the desktop to the Cellcom device is few of chare. A reply to a message or sending an SMS message from the Cellcom device to a desktop costs 23.4 Ag' per message as a regular SMS message in Cellcom.

In the near future, additional products will be launched such as ICQ for J2ME and ICQ for WAP. They provide an improved user experience and make the use of ICQ on Cellcom even easier.
