Do the following:

1. Right-click the name of your friend and select Start > Video Call. By default, the video session opens in a separate window. Your friend must accept the invitation for the video session to begin.
2. Once your invitation has been accepted, the video session can begin.

You can also start a video chat by clicking the Video chat button in the message window.
