Contact groups
You can create groups of contacts to make it easier to work with your contact list. This is especially helpful if you have a large number of contacts in ICQ.
By default, ICQ 8 contains 3 standard groups: "Family", "Coworkers" and "Friends", but you can also create your own groups. To do this, right-click the name of your account in the contact list and select "Add group".

In the window that appears enter the name of the new group and click "Ready".
In order to add a contact to a group, right-click on him or her and then select "Move to group" — the name of the group you want to put the contact in.

You can also simply drag the contact into the group. To do this, left-click on the contact's name and, while holding down the left mouse button, drgg the contact to the name of the desired group.
