To change any of your privacy settings (visibility lists, invisible mode, etc.), go to "Menu" — "Settings" and select the "Privacy" tab.

• Notify my conversation partner when I'm typing a message — if this option is enabled, your conversation partner will know when you're typing — an appropriate notification will appear in the conversation window and your contact list:
  
  

Minimization of windows ("Invisible mode")

This mode can be very helpful when you need to quickly and inconspicuously minimize all ICQ windows and even hide the status icon in the taskbar. Sometimes people try to take a peek at your conversations out of curiosity, but its none of their business.

To enable invisible mode, check the appropriate field.

Now indicate the key combination to be used to hide Agent.. The key combination must include at least one control key: "Ctrl", "Alt", or "Shift".

Press the desired key combination — the selected control keys will be noted by the checkboxes, and other key will be put in the corresponding field.

Now all of ICQ's windows will be hidden when the selected key combination is pressed. Press the same key combination to restore the windows.

Visibility list

For each of your contacts, you can determined if you are always visible, sometimes visible, or never visible.
