To begin using ICQ, you must first register. Registering at icq.com is absolutely free and doesn't take much time.

To get an account, do the following:

1. Go to the registration page;
2. Enter the first and last name to be displayed when sending messages ;
3. Enter an email address. This address will be used to complete the registration process and to recover lost passwords;
4. Think of a strong, secure password to use to sign in to ICQ;
   The password must have 6—9 and may include uppercase and lowercase Latin letters and numbers.
5. Confirm the password entered in the previous field to avoid any mistakes;
6. Indicate your date of birth. To do this, select the appropriate values from the dropdown lists;
7. Indicate your gender;
8. Enter the code in the image;
9. Click"Register".

If the registration form has been filled out correctly, a message with a link will be sent to the specified email address. To complete the registration, open the message (from support@icq.com) and follow the link — Congratulations! You now have your own account.
