Video call to a computer

Before making a video call, be sure you and your conversation partner have connected and configured your webcams, microphones, and headphones (or speakers). Contacts that have a webcam are identified in your contact list by  "Video call".

Note that Flash Player must be installed to make or accept video calls.

To call a contact's computer, open a conversation window with him or her and click "Video call".

If the person you are calling accepts your call, then a video window will be displayed next to the conversation window.

Depending on the settings in Flash Player, you may see a window asking to confirm use of the webcam, rather than seeing images from your camera. Click the "Allow" button to confirm. Then images from your camera will immediately appear.

By using the  button, you can turn off the microphone. Clicking on the button again will turn the microphone back on. The  button lets you mute the sound, and by dragging the slider on the sound control , you can increase or decrease the volume.

Click the  button and the webcam video will go into fullscreen mode.

To end the call, click .
