The following screenshot shows the conversation window:

You can choose the color of the ICQ window based on your own preferences.

  — the conversation window--this is where the conversation takes place. Using the scrollbar on the right side of the window, you can view the entire conversation that you've had since the last time ICQ was started.

 — the field where you write your messages before sending them to your conversation partner. In addition to using the standard font and color, you can choose your own. You can also use emoticons and toons in your messages. 

 — the users you're having conversations with, if the single window setting is enabled. The tab for the user you are currently chatting with is slightly above the others.  To switch to a conversation with a different user, click the desired tab or select the user from the contact list;

 — switch to the single window view.

The conversation window has the following buttons:

 — to view your conversation partner's info;

 — to view the conversation history with this contact;  

  — to hide your conversation partner's expanded photo (avatar)  and his or her comment on a status update;  

 — make free video calls to your conversation partner's computer;                     

 — make a call to your conversation partner's computer;

 — make a call to your conversation partner's phone;

 — send a file;       

 — create a new conference with your current conversation partner;                                                         

 — invite your conversation partner to play Games (only available to contacts using Mail.Ru Agent);         

 — view all available actions for your current conversation partner (rename, ignore, invite to be friends on My World, etc.);       

  — switch to sending SMS messages to your conversation partner;

  — send your conversation partner an emoticon or toon;

 — "buzz" your conversation partner;                                                                                            

 — quote the last message in the conversation window;          

 — change the font of your messages;

 — in this dropdown list you can change the font, color and style of your messages, restore text formatting defaults, enable/disable ignoring your conversation partner's style, enable/disable spell checking;                                                     

 — send a message or SMS.
