"It's really simple. 80% of most letters people get are from people on their list. So you send a message like this: "Please don't send me rumors... If you read the ICQ page, you'd see it wasn't true. ICQ only sends messages through the system." Usually that works. The second time that person sends it to you, you say something a little stronger like, "Hey, what are you, some kind of idiot? I told you about sending me rumors!" Usually that works. After that, you take to insulting family members and deceased relatives until finally you threaten to block them from the list and you do.
